To build this beehive stand, you’ll need four scaffolding jacks (adjustable scaffolding supports). Their height can be easily adjusted, making them ideal for uneven ground.
It is recommended to place each scaffolding post on a large paving slab. This provides a stable base and makes it much easier to mow the grass around the posts.
Depending on the length of the wooden beams, a hive stand can hold two to three hives. I decided to use two hives per stand. That way, you can easily work on each hive from the side. I decided to use two hives per stand. That way, you can easily work on each hive from the side.
The screw-in scaffolding props have a thread diameter of approximately 38 mm (1.5 inches). You can easily drill the necessary holes in the wooden beams using a Forstner bit.
You should know how to use a drill. If you want to use more hives per stand, you can also add additional scaffolding supports in the middle.
How I work with the hive stand
There is a gap between the hives and the scaffold support. This provides a convenient place to set down one or two frames.
The smoker can be hung on the scaffold support, as can the hive tool.
